TERMS & CONDITIONS
Please take time to read the following Terms and Conditions from Helen Coulam Swim School (HCSS)
FEES: All fees are to be paid in full before the start of the Term or Holiday Programme you are booking into.
NO REFUND POLICY: HCSS has a ‘No Refund’ policy as when you are booking a swimmer, you are booking the entire swimming programme rather than the amount of lessons you can make it to. If your swimmer can no longer attend a holiday programme or Term of swimming booking, a minimum two week notice period is required prior to the booking starting. If notice is given within the two weeks prior to the holiday programme or Term starting, you will still be charged for the entire booking.
For serious medical circumstances, HCSS will provide a credit transfer to the following term. In this case, a medical certificate will be required.CATCH UP LESSONS: HCSS does not offer catch-up lessons if a class is missed for illness or injury. This is to prevent health and safety risks associated with overfilling classes.
HOLIDAY SWIMMING PROGRAM: There are no catch ups offered in the Holiday Swimming Programs.
PUNCTUALITY: All students must be changed and ready for class at the time their lesson begins, this includes cap and goggles. Please arrive no more than ten minutes prior to your lesson starting.
REBOOKINGS: Classes do not roll over term by term. Each swimmer will need to be rebooked by a parent or caregiver.
PUBLIC HOLIDAYS: HCSS is closed on public holidays and classes will not be running on these days. Invoices have been adjusted accordingly.
INSTRUCTORS: As a priority, HCSS tries to maintain consistency of swim instructors throughout each term. However, sometimes this is not always possible. In this case, the best available substitute will be organised by the Swim School Manager. All our swim instructors are of the highest skill and regular training is provided.
CHANGE OF CLASSES & INSTRUCTORS: Although rare, changes may be needed to be made during the term. We will be in touch if your time or day needs to change at all.
SWIM CAPS: In the interest of hygiene, the wearing of Swim Caps is compulsory for anyone with long hair, but is strongly advised for all swimmers. Caps and goggles available for purchase at the pool. Not a requirement for toddler/baby classes.
NAPPIES: If a child normally wears a nappy during the day, Please ensure they wear a proper swimming nappy during the lesson. If they are being "toilet trained" swimming nappies are compulsory. Normal disposables are not to be worn at any stage. No exceptions will be made. HCSS reserves the right to charge the Parents/Caregivers for the cost of pool closure caused by any “accidents”.
PARENTAL SUPERVISION: Water safety is HCSS’ number one priority. We do our best to reinforce the safety measures in and around the pool. Parents/caregivers are responsible for the wellbeing and safety of their children before and after the lessons.
THERE IS NO DEDICATED LIFEGUARD AT ANY TIME. BY ENROLLING YOUR CHILD/CHILDREN IN THE HELEN COULAM SWIM SCHOOL (HCSS) PROGRAMME ALL PARENTS AND CAREGIVERS AGREE TO BE BOUND BY THE HCSS TERMS AND CONDITIONS
